Terms of Service

Effective: February 21, 2026 · Z-Text Ltd

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, downloading, or using Z-Text, or by purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the service.

Service Description

Z-Text is a blockchain-based encrypted messaging application built on the BitcoinZ network. Features include shielded messaging, an on-chain encrypted password vault, and optional premium subscriptions that unlock additional functionality.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Z-Text or purchase a subscription. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your private keys and z-address. Z-Text cannot recover lost keys or reverse blockchain transactions. You agree not to use Z-Text for any unlawful activity, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, or the distribution of illegal content.

Premium Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are software licenses that unlock additional functionality within the Z-Text application. Licenses are non-refundable once activated. Subscription duration and features are as described at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to modify pricing for future subscription periods.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through OxaPay. By making a purchase, you also agree to OxaPay's terms of service. Z-Text is not responsible for delays or issues caused by network processing times.

Nature of Service and Messaging Credits

Z-Text is a software application. When you purchase a subscription, you are acquiring a software license that unlocks messaging functionality — you are not purchasing, trading, or investing in cryptocurrency or any digital asset.

The Z-Text messaging protocol operates on the BitcoinZ blockchain. Sending a message is a shielded blockchain transaction that requires a small amount of BTCZ to process. Messaging credits included with your license are denominated in BTCZ because the protocol requires it — they are a functional input consumed by the messaging process, similar to how postage is consumed when sending a letter.

The sole intended purpose of messaging credits is to send and receive messages within Z-Text. Credits are not offered, sold, or promoted as an investment, a store of value, or a medium of exchange.

Assumption of Risk

BTCZ exists independently as a cryptocurrency on the BitcoinZ blockchain and may be traded on third-party exchanges. Z-Text has no control over the BitcoinZ network, its market price, or third-party platforms.

Z-Text does not guarantee, represent, or imply that messaging credits hold any particular monetary value. The price of a subscription reflects the cost of the software license, not the market value of any cryptocurrency.

If you choose to use, sell, transfer, or otherwise dispose of BTCZ obtained through your Z-Text license for any purpose other than Z-Text messaging, you do so entirely at your own risk and outside the scope of this service. Z-Text is not responsible for any financial loss, tax liability, or regulatory consequence arising from the use of BTCZ outside of the Z-Text messaging protocol.

You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations applicable to cryptocurrency in your jurisdiction. Z-Text does not provide investment, financial, tax, or legal advice.

Intellectual Property

Z-Text, its logo, and associated branding are the property of Z-Text Ltd. The Z-Text application and website are proprietary software. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service without prior written consent.

Privacy

Your use of Z-Text is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect minimal data — see our Privacy Policy for details.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Z-Text is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and blockchain network availability is outside our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Z-Text Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your current subscription period.

Modifications to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Z-Text after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be noted with an updated effective date at the top of this page.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Z-Text shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
